Philosophy
A commitment to working with the best natural yarns has been at the core of Sphere One’s philosophy for 25 years. We use only the finest Italian and Scottish cashmere from mills with reputations built on years of acquired skill and craftsmanship, to comb, dye, twist and spin the cashmere for luxury, longevity and beauty. We search out innovative new recycled, organically dyed, and natural undyed cashmere yarns to add to our collections. With a Sphere One design you can feel confident that you are investing in the world’s finest cashmere expertly hand framed, knitted strictly to requirements, in the spirit of slow fashion that should last a lifetime.
In the Press
“It’s easy enough to let beautiful cashmere do the talking in a baggy sweater, it’s another thing to craft that cashmere into exciting, modern and flattering shapes which make a statement and have as important a place in the wardrobe as a big ticket dress, a trophy jacket or an extraordinary blouse. In short, they are much more than knits. There is also always a backstory, a rich tapestry of references. Lucy’s mind goes beyond fashion or craft, to history, art and landscape. There are things that make Sphere One cashmere different and special – the neatest, most flattering round-neck, shoulders that make you look neater than you are and sleeves that manage to be slim, without being tight. The fit/comfort balance is the Holy Grail. Quietly and cerebrally…she ploughs her own original furrow and always has.”
