Locket Cashmere/Lambswool Tabard – Corian

33% Cashmere / 67% Lambswool

The Locket is an elevated tabard style piece with subtle intertwining cables on front and back. To highlight the hand framed nature of the construction, the cables begin and end with a little side movement flourish rather than a mass produced-like repeating pattern. Constructed without shoulder seams, the design includes an unusual knit structure of alternating plain and purl at the edge, preventing the edges from curling out and adding an interesting frame of texture from the hem flowing up and over the shoulders to the back hem. Special seamless short row knitting gives the shoulders an intrinsic slope, hugging the area and preventing an angular pitch. Open at each side, horn effect buttons rather than ties keep the look modern, mannish and sharp. The buttons can be left undone for more flare or can be fastened to lie flush against the body for a more streamlined fit. The result is a piece that gently warms the core for transitional dressing, is perfect for layering over a loose shirt, and lends a little rustic texture under a jacket without bulk.

This style is made in a bespoke blend of cashmere and superfine lambswool specially twisted for Sphere One by Scottish mill Todd and Duncan. Colour Corian is a blend of pale grey cashmere twisted with milk white lambswool.

Every Sphere One piece is hand framed and knit to a unique specification each season. Some styles are purposefully oversized while others are designed for a neat fit. Please refer to detailed measurements below for this particular style.
