Skellig Cashmere/Lambswool Sweater – Salvia
60% Cashmere / 40% Lambswool
Sphere One's Skellig sweater is a hand framed original design, inspired by an antique Japanese obi belt. The honeycomb texture is offset by subtle plain purl stripes at the hem and cuff. The sweater's cocooning shape with dropped shoulder gives sculptural volume and beautiful drape, and the short collar stands flatteringly away from the neck. New for AW25 a sumptuous 5-ply blend of cashmere and soft lambswool is spun by Scottish mill Todd & Duncan, one of the oldest, most skilled yarn spinners in the world. Both cashmere and lambswool are dyed at fibre stage, ensuring depth and delicacy. Three subtly separate shades, bespoke spun for Sphere One, lend a tweed look, depth of hue and vibrancy together with sublime softness. Only a handful are made each season in each custom colour blend making the Skellig sweater an especially limited piece for any cashmere collection.
Colour Salvia ( Sage in Latin/Italan) is a blend of Petrol blue mélange, a dusty green and a hint of purplish bruise-like-grey making it a soft, flickering tweedy Sage. See swatch photo.
